3-4 hour boat excursion: price includes boat ride and plenty of water to drink. Beach combing, sunbathing and beach walking are all accessible. Trip can be customized to meet your needs and can include drop off at remote beach location and return back to dock.

3-4 hour birding tour: price includes boat ride and plenty of water to drink. Trip can be customized to meet your needs, including tours of remote beaches, nearby islands, or Fowl River habitat to find shorebirds, wading birds, gulls and terns. Meet the CAPTAIN
Captain Lynn Hathaway was born in Eastern Ohio and grew up fishing the rivers, streams, and lakes of the tri-state area (Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia). She comes from a long line of fishing fanatics and can trace the Hathaway clan’s love of fishing back at least three generations, and forward two more. Captain Lynn moved south 25 years ago and has been taking advantage of saltwater fishing ever since, where everything bites harder and tastes better! Her fishing adventures have taken her all over the gulf coast and to the Caribbean. All told, she has caught close to 100 different species of saltwater fish in this region, from large predators like yellowfin tuna to small fish like white trout. After careers in law and education, Captain Lynn decided that for her third act, she wanted to share her love of fishing with others through chartering. Watching a child’s eyes light up when they hook a fish is especially rewarding for Captain Lynn. Whether you are an experienced angler, are just getting started, or are anywhere in between, Captain Lynn will meet you where you are and will work to ensure that your day on the water is fun, memorable, and fishful.
The BOAT
L.H. Fish Co. features a 21 foot Carolina Skiff Sea Chaser with a 200 HP Suzuki motor. She is equipped with a Minn Kota Quest Instinct trolling motor with I-pilot, along with Lowrance GPS/Fishfinder. Comfortably fits our Captain and three additional passengers.

An ice cooler with cold bottled water is provided for you. There is ample room in cooler to store your food, snacks and favorite drinks. A compartment is available for any dry items. All rods, reels, tackle and bait are provided. Fishing license is included with trip. Complimentary fish cleaning is provided after the trip in labeled ziplock bags.

The weather in coastal Alabama can be extremely hot in the summer - cool, wicking materials work well - sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are a must! (Bring a rain jacket if weather conditions require.) Cell phone service is available in most areas that we will visit. Bring a cooler (keep in your vehicle while on trip) to take home your catch.

A Coast Guard approved life jacket is required for every person on board. These will be available on the boat. Any children 12 or under MUST wear a life jacket at ALL times while onboard the boat.

Prior to departure we will review any necessary safety information, including location of life jackets, fire extinguisher, and any necessary boating safety rules. Please follow directions as given by Captain for the safety of all on board the boat.

Jayson and I were down in August 2025 and were looking for a boat captain to take us out to find shells and a boat ride. Another captain highly recommended Captain Lynn Hathaway and she was able to get us in the next morning.
We had the most amazing time.
Captain Lynn took us to find shells at the far west end of the island and then took us for a boat ride explaining the island and wildlife, she made us feel so comfortable and we enjoyed this over the other activities we had done all week. Hearing Captain Lynn’s love for the island and passion to teach others about that love was so refreshing and heartwarming. We even had dolphins swim up pretty close to the boat which was so fun.
We can’t wait to get back to Dauphin Island and will definitely be scheduling another boat ride with L.H. Fish Co. when we return.
